The importance of being a responsible citizen is documented and talked about everywhere you look. We all need to take an active role in saving our environment. Fossil fuel is a limited resource that we tend to rely on more that is healthy for all involved and the pollution that we put into our atmosphere on a daily basis is already becoming a serious problem.

 
The goal of GreenPlanetAndMe.com is to provide a resource to people who wish to go green and change to a more eco-friendly life. In general, this means becoming energy efficient, starting to recycle your old products (which can be electronics, batteries and even motor oil among other things), reducing pollution, conserving ecosystems, and decreasing the rate the climate is changing. One example could to start making your own electricity, using solar energy, wind energy or biomass energy (by composting or making your own bio-diesel, for example) instead of relying on the electric company to supply us with energy. This could come in many other forms, such as hiker backpacks that generate electricity, using green hosting companies and green computer equipment. You could even use green oil filters that not only reduce costs, but protect the environment as well!

 
Even though there is a lot of information online, this website aims to become an easy to use resource where one can find all the information he or she needs: articles, as well as links to guides and products that demonstrate the techniques specified.

 
Although we are relatively new, we hope to grow quickly and add articles frequently. In fact, if you have suggestions, or wish to contribute, please let us know - we will welcome all help.
