Recently there was a big wind farm put up out at sea, just off one of my favourite seaside towns. I live in the UK approx 30 mins from London.

You can see the turbines from the shore and although it can look a bit unsightly its nice to know that our government is doing something towards lowering its carbon foot print.

I have recently been trying new ways to save energy in my own home, I have a special plug which was given to me by an energy company, I can basically turn it off with my TV remote! It turns everything which is plugged into it off! ingenious!

Admittedly we should all be doing more to spread awareness about this growing concern.

Well, i have to say i learned a lot from those 2 hours of watching TV. 1st thing i learned is the "homo sapiens" as evolved we like to think we are, use the most primitive form of material to create energy : petrol, coal ! So, we have no clue how to use WindPower (we use it way to little), we don't make use of the waves energy (the biggest on Earth), we don't use the Solar energy (way to little). Another thing i learned is the 20% of the energy on our bills is wasted by all the unpluged appliances . Those little leds from our DVD players etc. So, at least we must begin with unplugin' our unused "advanced technology" . Well, i hope US will align it's green mentality with E.U's and get greener.
